01 Oct New site (11-Jan-2014)
How time flies….
Today I can proudly announce that the new site is finished! I can now share much of the information I have gathered in the last 6 years with everyone interested. Along with personal details on each child including information on siblings, cousins, parents and address locations back then, there are more than 2500 photos and documents on deceased children and another 3100 documents on surviving children available on the site. Information on the surviving children is only available on request.
In many cities in The Netherlands and Germany a great effort is made at the moment to lay more and more Stolpersteinen. The organizing committees are looking for information on the people for whom the stones are laid, and now they will also be able to find the information I have found on this group of partly forgotten Holocaust victims.
The database on the 50 homes on the website will likewise provide many people with new information.
Hopefully it will put this forgotten chapter of the Holocaust on the map.
If you find mistakes on the new website, if you have comments, additions, more pictures or other documents, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Apart from working on the site I have continued to work on the book. After a lot of preparation and translating, I will be able to really start writing in a few weeks, which means that I’m still hoping to finish my book at the end of this year.
